Gavlyn – “Barebone”

GAVLYN released her new music video for her single “Barebone”, produced by Hiiku. The video was shot and directed by 4uryn and Ninth and Company. Gavlyn raps about having a rough year and having to cut a lot of people off in order to destress. But she was really inspired by her friends making something out of nothing.

Gavlyn raps about wearing her heart on her sleeve in the chorus when she says:

Bare bone with my emotions You can see em thru my skin
Imma tell you what’s the deal Who , and why , and where and when
Yeah I’ve been thru hell and back Spread my wings I’m flying in
Yah it’s soul over beauty That’s my heart I’m breaking in

Gavlyn is a Latin American female Hip Hop artist born and raised in San Fernando Valley, California. Lower middle class upbringing, she grew up in a household with a family of 6. Deep in the heart of the Artist District of North Hollywood, she started out doing spoken word at the young age of 16. A few MF Doom albums later, those poems became raps and she was immediately enamored by the hip hop culture. She found her escape in the melting pot of the LA rap scene as she frequently attended heavy hitter rap nights such as Low End Theory, Project Blowed, and Urban Underground where her voice became her identity. Gavlyn’ s music has taken her around the world, tours yearly, and has a fan base that continues to grow.
